INTER - OFFICE COMMUNICATION

Mr. Richard L. Wheeler
Asst. Chief Engineer
Department
Dear Mr. Wheeler:
We wish to comment briefly on the attached ordinance changes. Sec-
tion 1, 2 and 3 of general Section 146 which concerns limited time park-
ing restrictions are revisions requested by the state in the Capitol Ap-
proach Area. The two streets under Section 4 concern requests for two
hour parking by residents.
The reasons for the changes in Section 145 pertaining to absolute
parking restrictions are as follows:
1. Fuller Ave. - a request to remove the current parking restric-
tion by the state.
2. Myrtle Ave. - a joint request for a parking ban by the Waldorf
Paper Products Co. and the Minnesota Transfer Railway.
3. Broadway - the parking ban on the west side of this street is
for traffic movement. All existing buildings have been re-
moved in this area.
4. The parking restriction on the west side of Victoria is in con-
nection with the current parking restriction under consideration
on the north side of Marshall between Victoria and Mississippi
River Blvd.
5. The removal of the rush hour restriction on Cedar is possible
'because of the street widening in this block.
Please contact us if you have any specific questions on these ordi-
nance changes.
Yours verx tr 1
