In the Matter of condemning and taking a permanent easement 1' 8" in Width, for the
purpose of constructing a retaining wall on the East 1' 8" of the North 83' of Lot 30
Block 3, Florence Addition to St. Paul, Corrected Plat, and East 1' an of the South
82f of Lot 20, Block 2, Florence Addition to•St. Paul, Corrected Plat; also a temporary
easement 2' 4" in width for construction purposes on the West side and abutting the
above'permanent easement. Also condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary
for slopes, cuts and fills, including right of removal of lateral support occasioned by
excavations thereof or construction of slopes in the grading of Marion Street from 156-1
North of Fuller Avenue to University Avenue
under Preliminary Order 202135 approved MaY 16, 1961
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having, considered said_ report, hereby resolves:
I. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
;i 2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to condemn and take a
permanent easement-11 8" in WidtYi, for the purpose of constructing a retaining wall on
the East 1' 8" of the North 83' of Lot 3, Block 3, Florence Addition to St. Paul, Cor-
rected Plat, and East 1' 8" of the South 82' of Lot 20, Block 2, Florence Addition to
St. Paul, Corrected Plat; also a temporary easement 2' 4" in width for construction
purposes on the west side and abutting the above permanent easement. Also condemn and
take an easement in the land necessary for slopes, cuts and fills, including right of
removal of lateral support occasioned by excavations thereof or construction of slopes
in the grading of Marion Street from 156' North of Fuller Avenue to University, Avenue,
in accordance with the blueprint hereto attached and made a part hereof, the hatched
portions showing the cuts and the shaded portions shows t fills
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cos thereof is $ J2 aQQ_
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 8th day of
AWMst;p,961 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated. e
