RESOLVED, That Dr. James R. Ralph be permitted to
construct a redwood fence, 6 feet high and 50 feet long,
ventilated to admit light and air, to enclose the rear yard
and patio at 1823 Wellesley Avenue, said fence to be constructed
under the direction and to the satisfaction of the Commissioner
of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings.

Dear Council Members:
An application has been made to the Council by Dr. J. R.
Ralph of 1823 Wellesley Avenue, for permission to construct
a six foot fence approximately fifty feet long, of redwood,
ventilated to admit light and air, this fence to enclose
the rear yard and patio.
An inspection has been made of the premises and our in-
spector can see no objections to this construction. There-
fore, it is our recommendation that the Council authorize
the Building Department to issue this permit.

i have been ,instructed that 1 must apply fora permit to the
.City, Council to construct a 6 ft. fence om my property. This fence
would only be approximately 50 ft.. long,, to be constructed to protect
the back yard.and patio which becomes extremely overheated from the
late afternoon sun, I have neighbors only on one side of me and they
have been informed about the construction of this .fence and have no
objection..The,fence is to be constructed of. redwood and ventilated
so as to admit air and light.
