This is an emergency jordinance rendexedr. necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health and. safety.
THE COUNCIL OF1 THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL, DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That nothing in, this ordinance shall apply to employees
in positions listed under the headings "Police" and "Fird'in Section 6 of
the Civil .Service Rules or to any positions which are under the jurisdiction
of the Municipal Court.
„Section 2. That notwithstanding the provisions, of Section, I- A, B, E, _
and F of Ordinance No. 6446, the Standard Range applicable. to regular,
probationary and provisional employees in positions in Grades 13 through 52,

which is two higher than is provided for these positions under the pro-
visions of Section I All B, E, and F, of Ordinance No. 6446. The Standard

positions of Senior Buyer and Supervisor of Recreational Activities, and
such employees in positions in Grades 54 through 79 as established in

Section 6 of the Civil Service Rules, shall be the range which is one higher
than is provided for these positions under the provisions of Section I A, B,

E, and F, of Ordinance No. 6446.
Section 3. That notwithstanding the provisions of Section II of
Ordinance No. 6446, the rates applicable to regular, probationary and
provisional employees in Positions under the headings "Skilled Labor,
i
Group A and Group C", and "Semi - Skilled Labor ", and "Unskilled Labor"
in Section Il of Ordinance No. 6446, shall be $.05 an hour more than the
ratas indicated for such employees in said Section H; and the rates applicable
to regular, probatio i ry and provisional employees in positions under the
h*ading "Skilled Labor, Group B" shall be $.081 an hour more than the
rates indicated for such employees in said Section II.

Section 4. That the provisions of Sections 2 and 3 above shall be
in effect for each employee only for as many pay periods during which he
works, starting with tIhe second pay period in June, 1961, as the number
of pay periods in which the employee's name appeared on the payroll from
January 1, 1961 through June 15, 1961.
Section 5. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety.
Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after June 16, 1961.
