O'Connell City Clerk Building Dear Madam: OF SAINT PAUL SAINT PAUL Z, MINNISOTA February 21, 1961 r 0 This is in the matter of the application of the Christ Child Society for a permit to erect a four -stall private garage in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 40, paragraph "1" of the building code, on property located at the southwest corner of Edgerton Street and Minne- baba Avenue. The property is described as Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 16, 17, 18, Block 2, Phillips Addition. The zoning is "C" residence. This site is presently being developed with the new Merrick Community Center and part of the proposal includes the construction of an over- size garage, 40' x 24', which will house their vehicles and provide storage for their camp and maintenance equipment. Chapter 40,ppragraph "i" of the building code provides for the erection of a garage of this size with council permission. The area uses are predominantly single and two- family in nature. There is a difference of approximately 17 fdet in elevation between this property and the adjoining residential uses. Field investigation discloses no objection to the construction of this garage as it would have no adverse effect on any of the adjoining uses. In accordance with the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends the granting of the permit to erect an oversize garage on the above described property in accordance with plans approved February 2, 1961.
