PRESENTED JANUARY 18, 1961
WHEREAS, in the Matter of Comptroller's Contract L -6171 for
the Grading of the NORTHERN ROUTE from Griggs Street to 550
feet East of Snelling Ave. and 450 feet East of Lexington
Parkway to Grotto Street, Ashbach Construction Company, Con-
tractor, the specified date of completion is July 15, 1960, and
WHEREAS,, the Contractor has prosecuted th.B work diligently but
due to delays to do additional sewer work and extra excavation
in the Peat Areas coupled with the removal of Stumps encountered
in the sub -grade excavation, it was not possible to complete
the work by said date of completion, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper city officers be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to ex/c%te an amendment to said contract
extending the time of completion to AUGUST 16, 1960, provided,
however, that this Resolution shalllhave no force or effect,
unless the Sureties on the Contractor's Bond consent thereto
in writing and file such consent with the City Comptroller, and
be it '
