Whereas, Property owners on Birchman Lane between Upper St. Dennis Road
and Lower St. Dennis Road have petitioned permission of the Department of
Public Works for a street name change, and
Whereas, A confliction in street names presently exists, there being
another street in the Town of White Bear bearing the name of Birchman
Lane, it is, therefore, recommended that the street name be changed to
St. Dennis Court; now therefore be it
.Resolved, That Birchman Lane, between Upper St. Dennis Road and Lower
St. Dennis Road, hereafter be known and designated by the name of St.
Dennis Court.

We, the undersigned, being all of the residents of property addressing on
Birchman Lane, hereby petition and request that the name of said street be
changed to St. Dennis Court.
There are only three houses that address Birchman Lane, and delivery people
have no idea where we are located when they are to deliver something to Birch -
man Lane. In addition, it is very confusing to friends who are invited to
our homes. Iledently we had to call the police out, and it was necessary to
explain to them where we lived in order for them to find our homes. We feel
if the name of the street were changed to St. Dennis Court, that it would
immediately locate the property in relation to Upper and Lower St. Dennis
Roads as far as general vicinity is concerned, and it would eliminate much
of the difficulty in finding our homes. Furthermore, mail which is addressed
to Birchman Lane frequently is sent to White Bear and then returned to the
city until we finally receive it, thus creating a delay in the receipt of
our mail.
We have taken this matter up with Mr. Goldberg of your department, and he
has checked with the post office, and they do approve of this change. We
do not request that our street numbers be changed, but only the name of the
street, and, therefore, petition that the street name of "Buchman Lane'? be
changed to -"St. Dennis Court ".
