Human Resources was asked by Angie Natezny, Director of Human Resources, to conduct a job sNdy of the Workers Compensation
Claims Processor position, Occupation Code 2IOB, Grade 21C, Satary Schedute 87. A determination was made by HR that the
classificafion shovld be upgraded to Grade 24C. ,

complex nature requiring specialized experience in Workers
Compensation. Receives, reviews, and enters medical First Report of In}uries.
Corresponds wi[h employees and medical pxoviders to determine compensability and
payment. Pays or denies Worker Compensation medical bilis in accordance with state
statutes. Updates Worker Compensation files or computer system to reflect state laws,
periodic benefit adjustments, and fee schedules. Performs other duties as required.

Requirements
High school diploma or Generat Education Development certificate (GED) and four
years of c2ericaUadministrative experience, one year which must have been experience
processing Workers Compensation medical claims and medical bills.
Two years ofjob-reIated, post high school education can be substituted for two yeazs of
c]ericaUadministrative experience.

Workers' Compensation Claims Processor title. HR conducted a jab study and
deteimined that the pay rate sl�ould be upb aded. Human Resources will have to cover
this inerease within their existing salary budget for the remainder of 2008 and 2009. OK
