PAUL COUNCIL NO��U h•/ OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FILE COUNCIL RESOLUTION— GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from March 16th to March 31st 1962 inclusive, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: (1) Handling meter reading cards received in the mail on Saturdays. (2) Preparing data for law suit in connection with Intake at Fridley Pumping Station - AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: (1) In order to have readings ready for billers on Mondays. (2) Necessary to continue work after business hours in order to complete data. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
