WIIMEAS, the City Architect, having requested the City Council
to hold a public hearing to consider -any complaints about the expense
incurred by the City of Saint Raul in removing :a. dangerous structure at
712 Rondo Avenue, more particularly described as, Except Rondo Street, Lot 8,
Block O, Wm. Bickelts Subdivision, the City Council held a, public hearing
on February 27, 1962, to consider the expense and to confirm the amount
thereof; ,and
WHEREAS, it :appears that the City Council, pursuant to C. F.
No. 202478, approved June 6, 1961, published June 10, 1961, set a public
hearing to consider removing the dangerous structure, and the City Council
by C. F. No. 202883, approved July 51 1961, published July 8, 19612
ordered the wrecking by .-anal :at the separate cost :and expense of the owner,
occupant, or other person in control thereof, and the City Council by
C. F. No. 203341, approved August 3, 1961, published August 5, 19612
directed the Commissioner of Parks ,and Recreation and Public Buildings to
enter upon the premises and wreck -and remove the building thereon and do
any .and all things therein necessary for the protection of life, limb and
adjoining property, .and that the City of Saint Paul has incurred the expense
of �S1,147.11 in removing said structure; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Maceo G. Moody :and Olivette Moody, 718
West Central .Avenue, Saint Paul 4, Minnesota, and Otis Godfrey, Sr., Minnesota
Building, Saint Paul 1, Minnesota, are the owners of the premises; be it
RESOLVED, that we, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul,
do hereby confirm the .amount of $1,147.11 to be the fair, true, and reasonable
amount for such services incurred in removing the dangerous structure; and
be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be directed to file in the
office of the Register of Deeds for the County of Ramsey ;a statement of
expense incurred by the City for the purpose of securing a lien on the
property, pursuant to the Building Code, Sec. 1.07 St. Paul'Legislative Code.

This has reference to the property nue, de-
scribed as Except Rondo Street, Lot Bickel's
Subdivision owned by Maceo G. and Olivette Moody, 718 West
Central Avenue, St. Paul 4, Minnesota and Mr. Otis Godfrey,
Sr., 416 Minnesota Building, St. Paul 1, Minnesota, and con
firm's the expense incurred by the City in the condemnation
and wrecking of the two story frame duplex dwelling thereon
which amounted to $1,147.11.
As you will note, the final paragraph of this resolution
directs the City Clerk to file, in the office of the Register
of Deeds, a statement of expense incurred, for the purpose
of securing a lien on the property, in accordance with
Section 1.07 -7 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code.
