PAUL FILE NO. � OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK -� COUNCIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY �'y? =�_ COMMISSIONER //7 ///111JJJ \ �/- DATE 1 r WHEREAS,, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from May 1st to May 15th 1962 inclu- sive, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: R3 11 Repairing equipment, various stations. 2 Working extra shifts, various stations. Repairing water mains and services. Driving country crew id and from work. AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: 1 Necessary to do work during low consumption hours. 2 Absence of employees on regular shifts. 3 In order to give water to consumers as soon as possible. (4) On account of scattered work locations. THEWOREj BE IT RESOLVED, that the "proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work ink accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446, Council Mlle No. 207260 —By Mrs. Donald!( M. DeCourcy- Resolved, That the proper city offi- cers are hereby authorized to pay certain employes in the Department of Water for extra employment as described in the resolution.
