Adopted by the Council May 11, 1962. Approved May 11, 1962. (May 19, 1962) WHEREAS, the Mayor (Department of City Planning) has reported, in accordance with Section 52 of the City, Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from March 10 to April 1, 1962 which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Bureau of City Planning for more than eight hours per day or forty hours' per week in doing the following work: (A) For the Special Services, map and preparing revised map,;. and Board of Education, Division of correcting the school district the art work for printing the WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of following facts and circumstances: .+v There was an urgent need for this map and th current work load of the Bureau of City Planning was s that utilizing overtime work was the only way in which this map could be prepared expeditiously. Preparation of art work for color reproduction requires special knowledge and is an exacting process and the staff tec', nician capable of doing this work agreed to prepare th necessary drawings working on week -ends. The Board of Education agreed to pay for the overtime services of t', planning technician involved. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employee who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446, the amount of $150.00.
