In the Matter of opening, widening and extending Larpenteur Ave. to a width of
30 feet from Arcade Street to Parkway Drive, by taking and condemning the north
30 feet of the Northeast 4 of Section 20, Township 29, Range 22 lying between
the west line of Arcade Street and the southeasterly line of Parkway Drive exce
that part thereof lying southwesterly of a line 63 feet southwesterly of and
parallel with the extended southwesterly line of Lot 7, Block 1, Van Houten's P
under Preliminary Order 2

The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That• the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to open, widen and
extend Larpenteur Ave. to a width of 30 feet from Arcade Street to Parkway Drive,1by
taking and condemning the north 30 feet of the Northeast 4 of Section 20, Township 29,
Range 22 lying between the west line of Arcade Street and the southeasterly line of
Parkway Drive except that part thereof lying southwesterly of a line 63 feet south-
westerly of and parallel with the extended southwesterly line of Lot 7, Block 1, I
Van Houten's Plat -
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $---745,00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 29th
May, 1962
'at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give no
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter,- stating the time and p]
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
