and hereby awards contracts for furnishing the Department of Public Works with the following
approximate quantities of Aggregates for period from April 1, 1962 throagh 11arch 31, 1963,
as follows:
LANDERS- NORBLOM- CHRISTENSON CO. 600 tons Mineral Filler - for the contract price
of approx. $6150.00
BRYAN DRESSER TRAP ROCK, INC. - 8300 tons Rock for Asphaltic Concrete Wearing Course and
4500 tons Stone Chips - for the contract price of
approx. $46,457.00
.ARSENAL SAND & GRAVEL CO. 18,335 tons Concrete Sand for the contract price of
approx. $26,585.75
R. J. JAGER GRAVEL CO. - 50 tons Limestone Aggregate and 2500 tons Limestone Screenings - for
the contract price of approx. $6125.00
J. L. SHIELY COMPANY - 367915 tons Sand, 4600 tons Gravel, 400 tons Limestone,
550 tons Limestone Aggregate, 2500 tons Limestone Screenings -
for the contract price of approx. $63,256.30
all in accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid
#8661 of said bidders, they being the lowest responsible and reliable bidders, and the
Corporation Counsel be and hereby is authorized to draw up the proper form of contracts
therefor, and the pvper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contracts on
behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
