RESOLVED, that J & S Building Company be permitted
to install and operate a 22 -car private off - street parking
lot on property on the northeast corner of English Street
and Wilson Avenue, more particularly described as Lots 11,
12, and the southerly 32 feet of Lot 10, Block 8, Eastview
Addition No. 4, in accordance with plans approved February 15,
1962, subject to compliance with the provisions of all ordi-
nances governing the operation of parking lots, and to the
condition that the sidewalk abutting said premises be kept
clean and free of ice and snow at all times.

attached application of J & S Building Company for permit to install and
operate a 22-car private off-street parking lot at the northeast corner of
English St. and Wilson Ave., on Lots 11, 12 and the southerly 32 ft. of
Lot 10, Block 8, Eastview Addition No. 4, in accordance with plans approved
February 15, 1962.

Dear Madam:
This is in the matter of the application of the J & S Building Company
for a permit to install and operate a 22 car private off-street parking
lot on property located at the northeast corner of English Street and
Wilson Avenue and described as Lots 11, 12, and the southerly 32 feet
of Lot 10, Bbck 8, Eastview Addition No. 4. This is part of a larger
tract which was rezoned to "C's residence on January 20, 1962.
The site is presently vacant and at the street grade of Wilson Avenue
and English Street. The applicant proposes to develop it with a 21 unit
apartment building with 22 car spaces provided for off - street parking.
The property has a frontage-of 142.77 feet along English Street and 150
feet on Wilson Avenue resulting in an area of approximately 21,416 square
feet. North and adjoining is vacant property proposed to be developed
with apartment use; east and adjoining and approximately 14 feet below
the grade of the property under consideration is vacant land, zoned
commercial; northeasterly and at this lower elevation is the recently
constructed Eastview Shopping Center; south across Wilson Avenue and
west across English Street is vacant land.
Field investigation discloses no basic objection to the proposal which
meets the required standards for density and building ground coverage.
The Traffic Engineer has reviewed and approved the plan which meets
the standards for this type of facility.
In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends
the granting of the application fora 22 car off - street parking lot on
the above described property in accordance with plans approved
February 15, 1962.
