SUBJECT: Council Resolution: Declazation of Surplus Animals
and Reasons for Surplus Status
Attached are a Council Resolution and a Green Sheet regarding the above. The following
aze the animals and reason for their surplus status:
ANIMAL
Four (4) male bxown lemur
REASON FOR SURPLUS
Originally acquired or reproduced for exhibit.
Since reorganizing our mixed lemur species group
five years agq these male brown lemurs are no
longer compatible with the other male brown and
ring-tailed lemurs. These four males must continue
to remain by themselves in holding cages in the
basement of the Primate Facility. This is not an
appropriate environment for these animals and
alternate space is not available.
