A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-

provement to be made by the said City is to construct and /or reconstruct the sidewalk on
and &uff ewa s
South side of W. Lawson Ave. from Mackubin St. to Arundel St. and on the North side of
W. Lawson Ave. from Norton St., West 176.16 feet, and abutting the East 1/3 of Lots 11,
12 1 bamal Addn. No. 1 of known as 457 W. Lawson) except where good
and suf icient sidewalks now exist
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

REPORT TO COMMISSIONER OF FINANCE

To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of Saint Paul:
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 205123
approved Dec. 12th. 1961 relative to constructing and /or recon-
structing the sidewalk on bobh sides of W. Lawson Ave, from Arundel St.
to Mackubin St.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $ 0.52 per sq. ft. far mono, cone, walk
4" thick. Extra work(excay., fill, cone, rem'd, root cutting, drive
crossings,etc.)at extra cost.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made
a part hereof.
