WHEREAS, the sum of $5,000 hi�,been set up in the
Miscellaneous and Unforeseen Fund (31--G 4) of the 1962 Budget
for participation by the City of Saint Paul in the Saint Paul
Winter Carnival; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Winter Carnival Association, Inc.
in a letter dated April 23, 1962, over the signature of John
Geisler, Managing Director of Saint Paul Winter Carnival
Association, Inc., represents to the City that Expenses have
been incurred in connection with the Winter Carnival in the
amount of $5,000, said expenses being listed as follows:

Expenses incurred in repairing ski slidestructure;
Labor and materials for construction of a ramp at the
Saint Paul Auditorium;
- General liability insurance for city and officials;
Parade float for City and County Carnival group;
Expenses incurred'in installation and maintenance of
downtown skating rink;,
(These bills include the - Commonwealth Electric Company,
J. S. Sweitzer & Son Inc., Gordon Displays, Inc.,
Saint Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Co.)
RESOLVED, That the sum of $5,000 be paid from said Fund
to Saint Paul Winter Carnival Association, Inc., as reimbursement
for payment of its obligations hereinbefore mentioned.
