'WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from April 1, 1962
to April 30, 1962, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours per week,
in doing the following work:
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and
7WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
Opening the Public Health Building on one week end and maintaining a crew
on the Good Friday Holiday.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby authorised to pay the
employees who performed such work in accordance withthe provisions of the Council's
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
