CITY QF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA

1 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department will be hiring fifty-five new police o�cer recruits on
2 October 1, 2007; and
4 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department contributes one half of the cost of a ballistic vest for police
5 officers, not to exceed $600; and
6
WHEREAS, a 2007 financing and spending plan needs to be established for this expenditure; and
9 WI3EREAS, The Mayor pursuant to Section 10.071 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does
10 certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $33,000 in excess of those estimated in
11 the 2007 bndget; and

13 WI3EREAS, The Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2007 budget:
