RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee therefor
and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Department of Public Works,
Bureau of Municipal Equipment, 891 North Dale Street, St, Paul, Minnesota, Four C -750 Truck
Chassis, 25,000# GVW frith full -tilt cab (vendor to transfer Leach compactor bodies now mounted
on Ford and International chassis to new chassis), for use by Bureau of Sanitation, to
MIDWAY FORD COMPANY in accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the
Formal Bid #18729 of said Midway Ford Company for the price of $16,812 less allowance of
$3600 for Two 1957 Ford Chassis and one 1958 Int'1 Chassis, making net amount of contract
$13,212.00, such bid being the,lowest and said Midway lord Co(fpany being a reasonable and
reliable bidder, and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper
form of contract therefor and the proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute
said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
