PRESENTED BY HON DATE April 18 ,a 62
RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for the Grading, Surfacing, Curbing and
Improvement of Upper Afton Road from McKnight Road to White Bear Avenue to
ASHBACH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY in accordance with City plans and specifications
therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #8734 of said Ashbach Construction
Company for the contract price of $121,267.07 (plus Engineering-$9,701.37 and plus
Inspection $2,425.34 by City Forces) such bid being the lowest and said Ashbach
Construction Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation
Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor,
and the proper Cityofficials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
Assessed against benefited property - $50,750.00
