Resolution of Council Approving Assessment
and F>xin Time of Hearing Thereon
In the matter of the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for
grading and surfacing with bituminous material the alleys in Block 2, Swift's
Subdivision and Merriam's Re. of the East Third of Lot 9, Smith and Lott's Outlots; the
North -and -South alley from Carroll Ave. to the East -anal West alley and the East -and -West
alley from 10 ft. East of the East line of Merriam's Re. of the East Third of Lot 9,
Smith and Lott's Outlots to 39.94 ft. East of the West line of Lots 3 and 22, Block 2,
Swift's Subdivision; also construct a sewer from the alley to Carroll Ave. in an
easement on, under and across the westerly 4 ft. of Lot 11, Block 2,
Swift's Subdivision
under Preliminary Order 190594 , approved January 13, 1959
Intermediary Order 191381 approved March 17, 1959
Final Order 191781 approved April 14, 1959
The assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for and in connection with
the above improvement having been submitted to the Council, and the Council having considered same
` and found the said assessment satisfactory, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects approved.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That a public hearing be had on said assessment on the 16th

day of may., 1962 at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of
the Court House and City Hall Building, in the City of St. Paul; that the Commissioner of Finance
give notice of said meetings, as required by the Charter, stating in said notice the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement, the total cost thereof, and the amount assessed against the
lot or lots of the particular owner to whom the notice is directed.
