RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering Vitrified Clay
Sewer Pipe to the Department of Public Works, St, Paul, Minnesota, for period of
one year expiring March 31, 19630 to J. L. HUGHES COMPANY in accordance with City
specifications and the Formal Bid #8663 of said J. L. Hughes Company for the
contract price of approximately $5989.75 (at unit prices bid), such bid being one
of identical bids, and said J. L. Hughes Company being a reasonable and reliable
bidder, and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the
proper form of contract therefor and the proper City officials are hereby authorized
to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
