A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is. to reconstruct the sidewalk on the west side of
Jackson Street from 8th Street south approximately 100 feet abutting Lots 1 and 2, Block
10, Roberts and Randall's Addition, "except where good and sufficient sidewalks now
exist."
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Council, known as Council File No, 2056 45
approved Jan. 23rd, 19 62 relative to reconstructing the sidewalk
on the west side of Jackson St, from 8th. St, south approximately 100
feet abutting Lots 1 and 2, Block 18, Roberts and Randall's Addition.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $0-52 per so. ft. for' m.o n o: conc. w a l k
411 thick. Extra work(excay., fill, conc rem'd. root cutting, drive
crossings, etc.) at extra. cost.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made
a part hereof.
