KESOLVED, That the plans and specifications for new traffic signals
at Fairview Avenue and Minnehaha Avenue, Jackson Street and University
Avenue, for revising the existing signals at Dale Street and Maryland
Avenue, White Bear Avenue and Maryland Avenue, Fifth Street, Seventh
Street and Exchange Street, Montreal Avenue, Lexington Parkway and W.
Seventh Street, E. Seventh Street and Sibley Street, for relocating the
existing signal at W. Seventh Street and Munster Avenue and for inter- t
connecting traffic signals on Seventh Street between Sixth Street and
Fifth Street, as submitted by the Commissioner of Public Works are
hereby approved and the purchasing agent :is hereby authorized to adver-
tise for bids thereon in the manner provided in and by the charter.
Each lump sung bid shall be accompanied by a statement of the total cost
of each of the nine signal projects. The sum of the nine cost statements
shall equal the lump sum bid. The lump sum bid shall be the basisible,
consideration of award of contract, and be it further
RESOLVED, That the cost of the above traffic signal projects be
financed from PIR Fund Code 3001, the same fund to be reimbursed from
City Street Bond Fund Code 100 - ST - 15; from Municipal State Aid, from
County Aid and from Minnesota State Highway Funds as per City -State
Agreement 53347 as follows:
1. Dale Street and Maryland Avenue and White Bear Avenue and Mary-
land Avenue :. 100% County Aid. _
2. Munster Avenue and W. Seventh Street and Seventh Street inter-
connection from Sixth Street to Fifth Street: 50% State Highway
Funds,50% City Bond Fund Code•200 - ST - 15.
3. Fifth Street, Seventh Street and Exchange Street" (Project No.
64 - 134 - 01)= 33 1/3% City Bond Fund Code 200 - St - 15,
16 2/3 %7Municipal State Aid, and 50% State Highway Funds.
4. Jackson Street and University Avenue: 50% County Aid and 50%
State Highway Funds.
5. Seventh Street and,- Sibley Street (Project No. 64 - 196 - 01):
