In the Matter of changing the grade of the alley in Block 2, Oxford Addition End
Block 2,,Peck's Addition to Hyde Park from Oxford St. to the North and South alley to
conform to the grade as shown on the profile in the Department of Public Works. Also
grading and surfacing with bituminous material the alley in Block 2, Oxford Addition
and Block 2, Peck's Addition to Hyde Park from Oxford Street to the North and South
alley to the proposed change of grade. Also constructing a storm sewer from the alley
to Charles Avenue in an easement to be obtained on, under and across the Easterly
41 of the Westerly 18' of Lot 9, Block 2, Oxford Addition from the alley to the
existing sewer in Charles Avenue.
under Preliminary Order 206577 approved March 30, 1962
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to change the
grade of the alley in Block 2, Oxford Addition and Block 2, Peck's Addition to Hyde Park
from Oxford Str. to the North and South alley to conform to the grade as shown on the
profile in the Department of Public Works.. Also grading and surfacing with bituminous
material the alley in Block 2, Oxford Addition and Block 2, Peck's Addition to Hyde
Park from Oxford Street to the North and South alley to the proposed change of grade.
Also constructing a storm sewer from the alley to Charloe Avenue in an easement to be
obtained on, under and across the Easterly 41 of the Westerly 18' of lot 9, Block 2,
Oxford Addition from the alley to the existing sewer in Charles Avenue.
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 4,534.31
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 31st day of
July, 1962 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
