WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the eiistence of an emergency during the

period from duly 29th through September 1, 1962 which rendered necessary the employment
of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums Ia.nd Stadia,
Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing
the following works

Operate ventilating systems, operate PBX switchboard and supervise during the
various events held in the Auditorium.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
No other trained help available to work during Pop Musical Ice Revues, the
National Pentecostal convention, and other events held in the building, this
time includes Saturdays and Sundays. j
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay the
employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's
Salary ordinance No. 6446.
