WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported,in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter,the. existence of an emergency during thl period
from August 16th.1962 to August 31st.1962 ,'which rendered necessary the employment
of certain employees in the Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours
per day,or forty hours per week,in doing the following work:
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Police & Fire Alarm and
WHEREAS., this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and cir I stances.
Emergency repairing of Traffic Signals.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to
pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the
Council's Salary Ordinance No.6446
