Whereas, The Department of Public
Works has received from the Housing
and Redevelopment Authority of the
City of Saint Paul a letter regµesting
that said City, by and through its
Department of Public Works, construct

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has received
from the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of
Saint Paul a letter requesting that said City, by and through
its Department of Public Works, construct a portion of the!
sidewalk and curb on the north side of Aurora Avenue, 200 feet
west of Rice Street, in said City, the contract between said
Authority and Ashbach Construction Company not including re-
construction of the pertinent portion of said sidewalk and curb;
and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works, by and through
its Local Improvement Engineer, is of the opinion that the aforesaid
reconstruction of sidewalk and curb could be done in the calendar year
1962 under the district contract of said City and by the district
contractor rather than City forces; and
WHEREAS, in the aforementioned letter of said Authority,
a copy of;which is hereunto annexed, it is indicated that charges
for said work to be done by said City would be made directly to
said Authority and paid by said Authority; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That •the Council of the City of Saint Paul
hereby'approves the request of the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority of the City of Saint Paul for the aforementioned work,
said work to be done by the district contractor under the district
sidewalk contract and under the supervision of the Local Improvement
Division of the Department of Public Works; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the
City of Saint Paul is hereby directed
