Gentlemen;
You recently referred to this office for investigation
and report a letter received from Mrs. Calvin C. Herbert,
1629 Scheffer Avenuez St. Paul 16, who requests permission
to erect a six foot high redwood fence and a. five and one -
half foot high driveway gate across the back section of
their property (forty feet in total) to. protect the
rear yard from alley dust and to obtain privacy and a
safe playground for their children.
Our inspector reports that he can see no objection to
such a fence and gateway and it is, therefore, recommend-
ed that the Council authorize the Building.Department to
issue such a permit.
