W��ns, The City of Saint PauPs Education Initiatives places a high priority on ensuring that all
children aze prepazed for school and for life; and
W�1tEas, the Minnesota Early Learning Foundation (MELF) has partnered with the Cify to prepaze
young children for Kindergarten through financial scholarships and home visits; and
WHEREns, the MELF has contributed $97,000 to oversee and support the implementation of the Quality
Rating System (Pazent Aware) and the Early Childhood Scholarship Project; and
THEREFORe, BE rr RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts this contribution by the MELF in support of
the Mayor's Early Childhood Initiative and the City thanks the MELF for its generous gift..
