Council City of Saint Paul Gentlemen: Mr. Worrell Clarkson, Jr. at 715 Linwood Avenue has requested permission to erect a vertical louvred redwood fence six feet high to replace an existing fence. An investigation has been made and I would recommend that permission be granted to construct a replacement fence six feet in height up to the front building line, and not to exceed three feet six inches high from the building line to the property line. Sincerely yours, Alf r H. Schroeder Cit. Architect AHS:gg l 1 WORRLL CLAW 7:SOW, Jn. 5391 MngNESOTA STREET 'ST. PAUL 1, MINNESOTA August 23, 1962 m c> m rwa c - o CO c ra Mr. Alfred H. Schroeder, qC City Architect., Court House, o St. Paul 2, Minnesota N Dear Mr. Schroeder:— I have been the owner of and resided at the residence property known as 715 Unwood Ave. for just over twenty years. At the time I purchased the property there was a steel post and wire fence on the east property line, which was erected by a previous owner. This fence is still standing and is six feet in height, but is in a bad state of disrepair. I wish to replace it with a vertical louvre Redwood fence six feet in height. The adjoining property to the east is known as 709 Lin- wood Ave. and was recently purchased by Mr. Donald E. Garretson if who intends to make it his residence. I have discussed with Mr. Garretson the kind and height of fence I wish toerect in place of the present one and he has no objection. As I understand it, the law does not permit the erection or replacement of a fence six feet in height without the approval of or permission from the City Council. I therefore ask that you please consider this letter a petition to the City Council asking permission to erect the above described six foot fence. Yours very truly,
