Dear Mr. Schroeder:—
I have been the owner of and resided at the residence
property known as 715 Unwood Ave. for just over twenty years.
At the time I purchased the property there was a steel post
and wire fence on the east property line, which was erected
by a previous owner. This fence is still standing and is six
feet in height, but is in a bad state of disrepair. I wish
to replace it with a vertical louvre Redwood fence six feet
in height.
The adjoining property to the east is known as 709 Lin-
wood Ave. and was recently purchased by Mr. Donald E. Garretson if
who intends to make it his residence. I have discussed with
Mr. Garretson the kind and height of fence I wish toerect in
place of the present one and he has no objection.
As I understand it, the law does not permit the erection
or replacement of a fence six feet in height without the approval
of or permission from the City Council. I therefore ask that
you please consider this letter a petition to the City Council
asking permission to erect the above described six foot fence.
Yours very truly,
