RESOLVED, That the Council hereby concurs in the recommendation of the P, urchasing
Committee in awarding contracts for furnishing and delivering Coal to various departments
of the City of St. Paul for year ending August 15, 1963, as follows:

NORTH WESTERN -HANNA FUEL CO, - Approx, 435 tons Stove Coal, 2700 tons Screenings,
660 tons Elkhorn Stoker Coal and 200 tong Lump Coal,
and 190 tons Smokeless Screenings for the•contract
price of approximately $509867.75
GREAT LAKES COAL & DOCK COMPANY - Approx. 30 tons Anthracite, 100 tons Petroleum Carbon
Lump Coal,- �S.,tons Nut Coke and 10 tons Briquets for the
contract price of approximately , , $3,658.30
CARNEGIE DOCK & FUEL COMPANY - hit�una 200tons - Maximum 1000 tons West 1Virginia
Splint Stoker Coal for the contract price of

all in accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid
#8887 of said bidders, they being the lowest reasonable and reliable bidders and the
Corporation Counsel be and hereby is dir4eted to draw up the proper form of contract
therefor and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contracts
on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
