WHEREAS, it is desired by the Council of the City
of Saint Paul that a survey be made of means by which the
air - conditioning system of the Court House and City Hall may
be improved, and
WHEREAS, on July 13, 1962, the Joint Court House
and City Hall Committee approved the selection ofiThe Cerny
Associates, Inc., to conduct such - survey and to make recom-
mendations in relation thereto, and
WHEREAS, it is desired that the Architect of the
City of Saint Paul direct and supervise The Cerny,Associates,
Inc., while making said survey, and
WHEREAS, the Joint Court House and City'Hall Commit-
tee has contracted to employ said The Cerny Associates, Inc.,
to conduct said survey, pursuant to written contract, and to
pay for said survey the maximum sum of $15,000.00 from the
budgeted funds of said Joint Committee,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT -
RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul, recognizing
the need of said survey, approves the'conducting of said '
survey by said The Cerny Associates, Inc., and specifically
directs that the Architect of said City shall work with and
supervise The Cerny Associates, Inc., and that said Architect
shall approve all monthly billings of said The Cerny Associates,
Inc., and shall make available for said survey, the file and
records of said Architect and his staff, it being the under-
standing of the Council of said City that said The Cerny
Associates, Inc., shall be employed to conduct said survey
as "Associate Architect" to the Architect of said ,City.

is respectfully called to the following resolution of the Joint Court
House and City Hall Committee, adopted at the meeting held on September
14, 1962, by Commissioner Nadeau:

RESOLVED That the Joint Court House and'City Hall Committee approves the
agreement between the said Joint Court House and City Hall 'Committee and
the Cerny Associates, Inc. for their services as Associate Architect -
Engineer to aid the City Architect in the preparation of plans and specifica-
tions in the study of air - conditioning for the Court House and City Hall, .in
view of the resolution of the Council of the City of Saint Paul, approved
August 30, 1962, directing that said City'Architect act as supervising
Architect of said The Cerny Associates,,-Inc., and
BE l' FMTHER'RESOLVED, that the proper officials of the Joint Court House
and City Hall Committee be and they hereby are authorized to execute the
aforesaid agreement.
