PAUL 4, MINN. 9� We would like to receive a Parade Permit for the Greater Saint Paul Automobile Dealer's Association so that we may have aiparade on November 5, 1962, commencing at approximately 9 :00 A.M. and terminating between eleven o'clock and twelve o'clock noon. Enclosed you will find a route description, along with a map outlining the actual route of the parade. It will be!a motorcade of approximately 28 cars. We have contacted an escor, service and will have three motorcycle escorts available to facilitate the movement of the procession. I I" The purpose of the parade is to "kick -off" the Carnival Sell- A -Thon Week in which all Saint Paul automobile dealers will participate - and we feel that the parade will add enthusiasm for all concerned, enabling us to accomplish our objective of having an automobile show in all the various dealers' showrooms throughout the City. So as to more effectually minimize traffic congestion and hazards resulting therefrom, persons desiring to parade upon the streets of the City of St. Paul, excepting military forces of the United States, the mil- itary forces of this state, and the forces of the Police and Fire Departments, shall apply in writing to the Chief of Police for a parade permit at least 7 days prior to the holding thereof, stating therein the proposed place and route of said parade and the time thereof. Said parade permit shall be issued by a committee comprised of representatives of the Police Department, Traffic Engin- eering Bureau and the Public Utilities Department.
