Whereas, Comptrollerts Contract L -6442 McCree and Company
Contractor for the grading and paving of St. Paul Avenue from
Edgcumbe Road to Cleveland and thh,grading and paving of Cleveland
Avenue from St. Paul Avenue to Ford Parkway has been substantially
completed, and,
Whereas, said Contractor requests that a portion of the 15%
retained under the contract from estimates for work done, be paid
in advance of the final completion of the contract, and,
Whereas, the Commissioner and Chief Engineer of the Department
of Public Works approve the payment at this time of $35,000.00 of
the $409500.00 retained, therefore be it,
Resolved, that the proper city officials be and they are
hereby authorized to pay an estimate in the amount of $35,000.00
from the retained percentage amounting to $40,500.00 to said
contractor, and be it,
Further Resolved, that this resolution shall have �1no force
or effect unless the sureties on the-Contractor's bond consent
thereto in writing and file sr uch consent with the City Comptroller.
