the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is. to improve Highland Parkway from Snelling Avenue to
Hemline Avenue by widening the roadbeds, by resurfacing the present pavement; by
constructing curbs, by reconstructing the intersecting alley and street returns where
necessary, by reconstructing sidewalks where necessary; by constructing storm water
drainage facilities; by constructing sewer, water and gas service connections where
necessary and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental tb complete
said improvement.
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 207950
approved July 3, 19 62 relative to Improving HIGHLAND PARKWAY from
Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue by widening the roadbeds, by resurfacing the present
pavement; by constructing curbs, by reconstructing the intersecting alley and street returns
where necessary, by reconstructing sidewalks where necessary; by constructing storm water
drainage facilities; by constructing sewer, water and gas service connections where necessary;
and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to complete said improvement,
having been presented to the Council of the City of au1 therefore, be it
