RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Depart-
ment of Public Works, Bureau of Municipal Equipment, 891 North Dale Street, Saint
Paul, Minnesota, twelve 1963 Ford F -700 Trucks with Galion 740 Hoists and Galion
12 R 4 Dump Bodies to MIDWAY FORD COMPANY in accordance with City specifications
therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #8958 of said Midway Ford Company, at
a cost of $46,524.00 less allowance of $2,200.00 for 3 - 1953 International trucks,
1 - 1954 International truck and 4 - 1955 Diamond T Trucks to be taken in trade,
making net amount of contract $44,324.00, such bid being the lowest and said
Midway Ford Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder andlthe Corporation
Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor,
and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
