NO. - OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL RESMUTION- GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSION WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the exis- tence of an emergency during the period from October 1, 1962 to October 15, 1962 inclusive which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Public Utilities for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Supervising the-activities Making emergency repairs to Making air pollution tests, and of the City Market, street lighting circuits, WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Saturday and Holiday work made necessary because of increased activity at the City Market, Ov ertime work required to restore street lighting service immediately for public safety, Work necessary at irregular hours to complete tests for federal agency, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance Wr 6446.
