PAUL
To the Mayor and Council
of the City of Saint Paul(
Gentlemen:
The Port Authority is currently negotiating for
the acquisition of Blocks 23 and 24, Dunwell and Spencer's
Addition to Brooklynd, which comprise the Minnetonka Play-
grounds.
Tots 4, 5, 62 8, and 9, in said Block 24, were
acquired under the tax- forfeited land laws, and the City's
interest in the property is limited to playground use for
which it was acquired without any right of conveyance to
a third party.
I, therefore, recommend that these lots be re-
conveyed to the State of Minnesota, in trust, and that
the reconveyance be submitted to the Commissioner of Taxa-
tion for his approval, as required by the statutes.
Very truly yours,
rank L,. Loss
