RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering f.o.b. City
of St. Paul Water Department Storage Tanks at`the Purification and Filtration
Plant, 1900 Rice Street, c/o R.A. Thuma, St. Paul, Minnesota for period of one
year from and after October 22, 1962, approximately 1000 tons (2000# per ton)
Crystal Alum (Aluminum Sulphate) in liquid form, to AMERICAN CYANAMID COMPANY,
APPLIED CHEMICALS DEPARTMENT, at a price of $48.20 per net ton, making amount of
contract approximately $48,200.00, in accordance with City specifications and the
Formal Bid #8973 of said American Cyanamid Company, Applied Chemicals Department,
such bid being the only bid meeting City specifications and said American Cyanamid
Company , Applied Chemicals Department, being a reasonable and reliable bidder and
the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up-the proper form of
contract therefor and the proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute
said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
