Hon. Council
City of Saint Paul
Dear Council Members:
You referred to this office a request of the Minnesota Fence
& Iron Works,. Inc. for approval of a six foot high chain
link fence at the rear of their property at 242 -258 Universi-
ty Avenue,. along the alley. This would consist of six feet
of chain link fencing mounted on galvanized pipe framework
with one foot of barbed wire consisting of three strands on
the top. The purpose of the fence is to protect the materi-
als that will be stored on this lot.
Our inspector made an investigation and advises that this
fence would be approximately 156 feet long at the alley line
and return to the corner of the building at Galtier and Uni-
versity with a run of approximately 54 feet. This is commer-
cial property and he can see no objections to such a fence
being erected.
Therefore., it is recommended that the Council take favorable
action in authorizing the Building Bureau to issue a permit
for this structure.
Sincerely,
Alf d H. Schroeder

by un- authorized personnel.
We would appreciate your approving this fence which will consist
of 6' of chain link fencing mounted on a galvanized pipe framework
