In the matter opening, widening and extend iln .5to a width of 30 feet
from Arcade Street to Parkway Drive,by taking and condemning the north 30 feet of
the Northeast -1 of Section 20, Township 29, Range 22 lying between the west line of
Arcade Street and the southeasterly line of Parkway Drive except that part thereof
lying southwesterly of a line 63 feet southwesterly of and parallel with the extend-
ed southwesterly line of Lot 7, Block 1, Van Houten's Plat
under Preliminary Order 205642 approved_ January 23, 1962 ,
Intermediary Order 207059 , approved May 3. 1962
A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council having
heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered the same;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is
Opening, widening and extending Larpenteur Ave. to a width of 30 feet
from Arcade Street to Parkway Drive, by taking and condemning the north 30 feet of
the Northeast 4 of Section 20, Township 29, Range 22 lying between the west line of
Arcade Street and the southeasterly line of Parkway Drive except that part thereof
lying southwesterly of a line 63 feet southwesterly of and parallel with the extend-
ed southwesterly line of Lot 7, Block 1, Van Houten's Plat-
and the Council hereby orders said improvements to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the following land, lands or easements therein be and the same are
hereby ordered to be taken, appropriated and condemned for the purpose of making said improvements, viz.:
The north 30 feet of the Northeast 4 of Section 20, Township 29,
Range 22 lying between the west line of Arcade Street and the southeasterly line
of Parkway Drive except that part thereof lying southwesterly of a line 63 feet
southwesterly of and parallel with the extended southwesterly line of Lot 7, Block
1, Van Houten's Plat
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and the proper city officials are hereby
authorized and directed to proceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

liminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 205642
approved January 23,
19 62 relative to
Open, widen and extend Larpenteur Ave. to a width of 33 ft. from Arcadj'St. to
Parkway Drive, by taking and condemning the north 33 ft. of the northeast 4 of.,
Section 20, Township 29, Range 22, lying between the west line of Arcade St. and
the southeasterly line of Parkway Drive
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
