W tir;lZr;AS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department has entered into a joint powers agreement with
Ramsey County, Sheriffs Office (RCSO), to allow wireless connectivity to the message switch controlling
access to the Computer Aided Dispatch system owned by the City of Saint Paul; and
WI3EREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department, agrees to provide squad to squad messaging, access
to the State Department of Vehicles Services motor velucles and drivers license registraHons, CRIlVINET,
NCIC for query funcfions; aud
WIIEREAS, RCSO will pay up-front and ongoing costs to purchase needed software, hardware and support
for access to the above services; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Secfion 10.07.1 of the City Charter, does certify that there are funds
of $36,715 available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2007 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following changes to the 2007 budget;
