1 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department, received a 1,000 grant donarion from Target; and
3 WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to provide funds to assist the Saint Paul Police Department
4 with the National Night Out event which connects neighbors, communities, and police for a night of
5 communications, demonstrations and activities; and

7 WHEREAS, a 2007 financing and spending plan needs to be established for this donation; and

7 WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Secfion 10.071 of the City Charter, does certify that there are funds
8 oi' $1,000 available for appropriation in excess of those esfimated in the 2007 budget; and
