A RESOLUTION - GENERAL FORM
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Finance has reported, in accor-
dance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an
emergency during the period from November 1, 1962, to November 15,
1962, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees
of the Department of Finance for more than eight hours per day or
forty hours per week in doing the following work: spreading assess-
ments and checking assessment spreads and preparing auditor's report
and bringing transfer book records up to date; and
WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts
and circumstances: two vacancies in Bureau of Receipts and Disburse-
ments and shortage of experienced assessment clerks;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESC VED That the proper city officers are
le reby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in
accordance with the provisions of the Councilts salary ordinance,
Ordinance No. 6446.
