WHEREAS, the Om missioner of Publio Safety has reported, in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period_ from November 1, 1962
to November 30, 1962, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours par week,
in doing the following work:
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and
7MREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
Maintaining a crew on Veteran's Day Holiday and Thanksgiving Day Holiday.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Counoilts
Salary Ordinance No. 6446,
