COMMISSIONE DATE —
WHEREAS, the week of October 21 through October 27,
1962, was Cleaner Air Week and observed in the City of Saint Paul;
and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul has an advisory board of six members
• representing the municipality and private industry who have acted
for many years in reducing air pollution; and _

WHEREAS, said advisory board during Cleaner Air Week
gave a number of talks to Patent Teacher Associations and other
groups on the subject of air pollution and its problems in the
City of Saint Paul and, on Monday, October 22, 1962, Ltnder the
direction of the said advisory board, 40 helium filled balloons
were released with information card attached to stimulate interest
in this program; and
WHEREAS', there has been, over a period of years, a
considerable improvement in the quality of the air in the City
of Saint Paul, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Council does express its gratitude
to this advisory board for providing the City with an excellent
record in combatting air pollution and the excellent program which
it carried out during Cleaner Air Week, all of which efforts inure
to the benefit and pride of the citizens of Saint Paul.
