In the Matter of condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for the slopes,
cuts and fills, including right of removal of lateral support from subject ]and or remainder
thereof or construction of slopes in the grading and paving of Short Line Road from Selby
Ave. to St. Clair St, in the following described parcels A triangular parcel of land lying
in the northeasterly corner of Lot 13, Block 6, St, Clair St. and Short Line Addition to
the City of St. Paul, Plat 2, measuring 15 ft. on the north line and 50 ft. on the east
line of said lot
under Preliminary Order 209538 Approved October 16, 1962
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to condemn and take an
easement in the land necessary for the slopes, cuts and fills, including right of removal
of lateral support from subject land or remainder thereof or construction of slopes in the
grading and paving of Short Line Road from Selby Ave. to St. Clair St, in the following
described parcel: A triangular parcel of land lying in the northeasterly corner of Lot 13,
Block 6, St. WAir St. and Short Line Addition to the City of St. Paul, Plat 2, measuring
15 ft. on the north line and 50 fto on the east line of said lot, in accordance with the
blueprint hereto attached and made a part hereof, the hatched portions showing the cuts
and the shaded portions showing the fills
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 50.0
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 18th day of
December, 1962 ' at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
